What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old traditional Chinese system of diagnosis and treatment derived from the classical Chinese view of man and nature. It is natural form of treatment, relying only on the chi, or life force, within the body to heal itself. In the course of history, more people have been treated by acupuncture and Chinese medicine than by any other kind of treatment Acupuncture is a time-honored health care practice, left in the hands of a skilled practitioner and is completely safe and entirely relevant in the present age.

Why is Acupuncture holistic?

According to the principles upon which acupuncture is based, man posses as an indivisible unity of body-mind-spirit. Consequently, it is not enough for the acupuncturist to treat just symptoms; the mandate of the skilled acupuncturist is to treat the whole person and remove the cause of disease. When the case of disease is identified and removed, just as day follows night, symptoms will disappear and balance and harmony is restored within the body.
